Ya he was Bapu for his true followers living in the Great Sabarmati Ashram. Ya he was Gandhi-ji for the people who were fired to sacrifice their mortal selves for an independent country. And Mahatma Gandhi, for all of us who see him as a political genius of the modern world ( It doesn’t matter that you are a Indian or not to follow the foot steps of the great Human ) . A very simple, honest man, who developed an universal philosophy in politics against violence in every form of human society.

He was too simple to be taken seriously, yet was the most serious person in the political field at the time of British Raj. This man was too ordinary with his body looks but was the leader for whole of India; he was also one among very special social motivator for all the Indians. That was the one thing which fired “All the Indians” to walk strait with him. His Aim was to treat all the Indians alike. He refused to accept divisions in Indian society. A devoutly religious man Gandhi-ji was, he yet denounced all the caste divisions the Hindu religion carried with it in society. A devout Hindu himself, he respected the Moslem religion equally. And also all other religions the human race held firm.

He was very passionate about his use of “non-violence” against the British rule not only against them but all, as a very strong weapon, social tool in to reach Swaraj. And he practiced it with utmost care and purity. He walked into prisons with the same complacency he walked into his own Ashrams, no anger or vengeance against the British, against the White people.

That I see as Gandhi-ji’s whole philosophy as a true leader was. No divisions should be among humanity and no violence among the humans, to achieve the independence and liberation. Man should be wise to achieve what man wants with equal respect to all and which is his own property, without violently reacting against adversaries. He had no enemies and no solders to guard him.

But for me, His philosophy of a Swaraj was unimaginable, in that he only saw people working to move towards the basic needs of life. Working to suppress human wants and desires that would not be met with what they could manually produce for themselves as small, spiritual communities. Sabarmati Ashram was his life time experiment of the new social order he was committed for. His astute principles of self discipline for an altruistic being, was beyond the Indian majority, who wanted a new, independent India.

At last If Bapu ji was not there in indian politics at that time. What would happen to India, Ya i agree there was lots of people, some were more involved in freedom struggle than Gandhi-ji. But the truth was that they were not able to reach till the end.

Thats what i feel what do you Think Of It.
